So, I had a little bit of free time today, so I decided to participate in Illo Friday this week…the topic is “Fat.”

You know it’s time to lay off the kitty treats when stuff starts orbiting around you…

This week’s Illo Friday topic is Depth…so I bring you Captain Kitty, exploring the depths of space.

Dr. Squeak thinks it’s illogical for a cat to be captain of a spaceship.

OK, so I am super duper busy this week and I didn’;t think I would have time to draw something for I-Friday. However, one of the things I am busy with, is the designing of a new tattoo. I’ve loved the idea of the “White tree of Gondor” since I first read the LOTR books as a kid. When the movies came out and put an image to the tree I had in my imagination, I knew this would be my next tattoo. However, the tree graphics used in the film are somewhat stark/masculine. So I wanted something more feminine, and I wanted the “in bloom” version of the tree, not the dead version…so I drew this up, based on Arwen’s Standard of Gondor, as seen at the end of Return of the King. I really liked it when I drew it full size, but when I shrunk it down to the size I want it, I no longer care for it. If I have it this size, I can’t get it colored in white, as the black ink will bleed since the lines are so thin, and I don’t like this particular tree in solid black as it looks too…tribal or something. Which is fine, but not what I am into. So back to the drawing board with the tattoo, but I didn’t want to waste this image, so I guess kitty gets the tat…I don’t think mousie approves.

This week’s Illo Friday topic is “Dreams,” so I drew this based on an old concert poster we have…it’s what your dreams are like when you go overboard on the catnip!

This weeks Illo Friday topic was “reflection.” For some reason, I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to draw for this…I was totally uninspired for drawing this week. I was going to just skip this week, but my OCD could not allow me to break my Illo Friday streak, so I drew this quick and simple illo: the cat reflecting on what he should draw…

This week’s Illo Friday topic is Wisdom. I went for the tooth joke. Having my wisdom teeth out was by far one of the worst experiences of my young life. Can you say 4 dry sockets?
